Francis Gurry

Francis Gurry jest australijskim prawnikiem, sprawuje stanowisko Dyrektora Generalnego  Światowej Organizacji Własności Intelektualnej (WIPO) od 1 października 2008 roku. Posiada prawnicze stopnie naukowe Uniwersytetu w Melbourne, doktorat z prawa Uniwersytetu w Cambridge, jest także profesorem honorowym i posiada tytuł doctora honoris causa uniwersytetów w wielu krajach świata. Jest autorem licznych publikacji, jedna z nich stała się klasycznym tekstem prawniczym w Wielkiej Brytanii, opublikowanym przez Oxford University Press jako Gurry on Breach of Confidence (Gurry o nadużyciu zaufania). Francis Gurry posługuje się językiem angielskim i francuskim.

Francis Gurry is an Australian lawyer who has served as Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) since October 1, 2008. He holds law degrees from the University of Melbourne, a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge and is an honorary professor of, and holds honorary doctorates from, universities in a wide range of countries. He is the author of a number of publications, one of which has become a standard legal text in the UK and is published by the Oxford University Press as Gurry on Breach of Confidence. Francis Gurry speaks English and French.
