The Conference “Are you into IP games? Intellectual property in the world of games” - on 26th of April 2022, organized by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute.

The Partners of the event are the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

As each year, on the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day, we invite you to participate in the conference during which we intend to introduce the world of intellectual property, this time in the world of video games.

Nowadays, it’s difficult to think about both intellectual property and video games other than on a global scale. Achieving a market success of a game is not limited solely to introducing an attractive product on the market with the support of numerous promotional and advertising activities. It often requires working out a suitable strategy for intellectual property protection, especially as today, thanks to the Internet, a video game is a product which is available in nearly every place in the world.

During the Conference we will look at games from several perspectives. We will intend to answer the following questions:

  • How to support and protect youth innovations and creativity?
  • How to protect intellectual property in the video game industry in an effective way?
  • What kind of support can video game industry expect?

As conference speakers there will be both creators and producers of video games, as well as experts on the protection of intellectual property rights and representatives of administration who will present various programs of support for that industry. Among the speakers there will also be teachers and educators who work on daily basis with young enthusiasts of all innovations, including in the digital world.

The event will commence on 26th of April, at 9.00am (Warsaw time) and will be broadcast online from the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.

Due to safety reasons and circumstances caused by the pandemic, the viewers and listeners will be able to participate in the Conference online.

The broadcast will be available on the website of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland in Polish, Ukrainian and English.
