About the Event
We invite you to a unique conference dedicated to the protection and promotion of geographical indications and the role of tradition in contemporary industrial design.
Starting from December 1, 2025, a new system for the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products will come into effect across the European Union. This is an important moment when Polish craftsmanship can gain a European brand and recognition. For creators, it means protection of their works and an opportunity for promotion throughout Europe, and for consumers – a guarantee of authenticity and quality.

The conference is addressed to:
- local producers and manufacturers,
- craft associations and chambers,
- entrepreneurs,
- designers and representatives of the creative sector,
- local authorities and institutions supporting regional development.
Programme
Day 1 – From tradition to regulation – the potential of geographical indications for industrial and handicraft products
An overview of new EU legislation and the potential of geographical indications for handicraft and industrial products in promoting local heritage. Experts from Poland and Europe will share their experiences in the protection and promotion of regional products.
Day 2 – Innovation and creativity in the economy – tradition in modern design
A meeting of tradition and modernity. We will discuss how to effectively protect and foster innovation and creativity rooted in cultural heritage, giving them new meaning in the context of today’s market realities and global competition.

- Products with registered geographical indications from 27 EU countries
- Polish handicrafts and industrial products with potential for geographical indication protection
