Od lutego 2019 roku pełni funkcję Prezes Rady Dyrektorów Narodowego Instytutu Własności Przemysłowej (INPI). Posiada dyplom z inżynierii chemicznej, ukończyła kurs wysokiego szczebla z zakresu zarządzania administracją publiczną i kurs zaawansowany z zakresu zarządzania publicznego. Reprezentując Portugalię, kieruje delegacją portugalską podczas posiedzeń Rady Administracyjnej Europejskiej Organizacji Patentowej oraz Zarządu Urzędu Unii Europejskiej ds. Własności Intelektualnej (EUIPO), a także w Zgromadzeniach Ogólnych Światowej Organizacji Własności Intelektualnej (WIPO). Posiada ponad 35-letnie doświadczenie zawodowe w dziedzinie własności intelektualnej. Swoją karierę w INPI rozpoczęła w 1989 roku jako ekspert ds. patentów, pełniąc następnie w tej instytucji szereg stanowisk kierowniczych i menedżerskich, w tym: Dyrektora ds. Znaków Towarowych i Patentów, Kierownika Departamentu Patentów i Wzorów Użytkowych oraz Kierownika Departamentu Wzorów Przemysłowych i Wzorów Użytkowych.

She has been President of the Directive Council of the National Institute of Industrial Property since February 2019. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and has a High-Level Course on Public Administration Management and Advanced Course in Public Management. Representing Portugal, she is the head of the Portuguese Delegation in the Administrative Council meetings of the European Patent Organization and in the Management Board of the European Union Intellectual Property Office, as well as in the General Assemblies of the World Intellectual Property Organization. Having more than 35 years of professional experience in the field of IP, started her activity at INPI in 1989 as a patent examiner and held, at the same institution, several management and leadership positions, such as Director of Trademarks and Patents, Head of the Department of Patents and Utility Models and Head of the Department of Industrial Designs and Models.
