Od 14 października 2019 roku Prezes Urzędu Patentowego RP, europejski i polski rzecznik patentowy. Jako Dyrektor Departamentu Znaków Towarowych w UPRP zajmowała się m.in. pracami legislacyjnymi związanymi z nowelizacją ustawy Prawo własności przemysłowej, wdrażaniem reformy systemu ochrony znaków towarowych w Polsce, przewodniczyła delegacji polskiej w grupie roboczej Rady UE w trakcie prac nad rozporządzeniem oraz dyrektywą w sprawie znaków towarowych, brała udział w pracach organów KE, Światowej Organizacji Własności Intelektualnej oraz Urzędu UE ds. Własności Intelektualnej, wiceprzewodnicząca zespołu Euro 2012 powołanego do ochrony własności przemysłowej, pełnomocnik UPRP w postępowaniach przed sądami administracyjnymi. Absolwentka Wydziału Prawa i Administracji UW, a także studiów podyplomowych w zakresie ochrony własności przemysłowej. Prelegent i wykładowca na wielu konferencjach i szkoleniach dotyczących problematyki znaków towarowych, wzorów przemysłowych oraz zwalczania nieuczciwej konkurencji. Autorka i współautorka publikacji oraz artykułów prasowych dotyczących ochrony własności przemysłowej.

Since October 14, 2019 President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, European and Polish patent attorney. As the Director of the Trade Mark Department at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland she was involved, among others, in legislative works on the amendments to the Polish Industrial Property Law and in implementation of the trade mark system reform in Poland. She led the Polish delegation to the working group of the Council of the European Union during the work on the EU Trade Mark Regulation and Directive. She participated in the work conducted in international fora, such as the European Commission, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Edyta acted as Vice-Chairman of the EURO 2012 team which was set up to ensure the industrial property protection. She also represents the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland in the proceedings before the administrative courts. She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and completed postgraduate studies in the intellectual property law. Edyta is a speaker and lecturer at numerous conferences and training courses on trade mark, industrial design and unfair competition issues. She is author and co-author of publications and articles dedicated to the protection of industrial property.
